On the road that goes from Condom to Auch, the Baïse valley guides you along its whimsical, winding way to the magnificent surprise of Abbaye de Flaran, one of the best preserved Cistercian Abbeys in the southwest of France.
Linger a while in the cathedral city of Condom,. The old centre, dominated by an imposing Gothic cathedral is made up of 18th century mansions, large Armagnac houses, warehouses and cellars … and not forgetting the Armagnac museum! From Condom continue your journey alongside the river.
On the way
Bordered by small valleys with a patchwork of colours depending on the different crops, the Baïse that used to be used for the trading and transport of Armagnac, is navigable in the Gers between Condom and the bastide town of Valence-sur-Baïse.
A must-see en route is the small 13th century fortified village of Larressingle.
In the heart of the AOC Armagnac region, take any number of the numerous hiking trails that cross through the prestigious vineyards.
