  • The village of Maignaut-Tauzia is the formation of two different villages: Maignaut and Tauzia-le-Grand.
    Located in the heart of the Ténarèze, near Valence-sur-Baïse, the village of Maignaut-Tauzia has a 14th century castle, modernised between the 15th and 16th centuries. The castle was once the residence of the lords of Maignaut, Castelbajac or Cassagnet. Marks visible on the castle indicate that a church was joined to the monument.

    In this village, you will discover the "Chapelle Notre Dame de l'Auloue" from the Romanesque period and its cemetery. In 1799, the chapel became a national property and after several years of abandonment, the site was restored and regained its function as a place of worship.
